With its new generation front-end technology the ProSound SSD-4000CV offers excellent contrast resolution. An intelligent digital beam former supports PixelFocus, providing precision spatial resolution down to the pixel level for improved visualization of clinical details. A multi-beam processor supports exceptionally high frame rates for optimal performance in studies requiring dynamic imaging of patient morphology.

An extensive cardiac measurement and analysis package is included. Flexible user adaptable preset-functions make the ProSound SSD-4000CV extremely user-friendly for use in any clinical setting, from private office and small hospital departments to the busiest echo labs.

The DICOM confirmed Integrated Data Management System (iDMS) provides digital communication with DICOM networks as well as Hospital Information Systems, supporting improved patient throughput, improved access to patient information and conformant image archiving and retrieval.

The ProSound SSD-4000CV system uses key features of the ALOKA ProSound Series, including:

Harmonic Echo - providing improved and artifact free tissue differentiation and exceptional contrast resolving power for improved interrogation of complex patient morphology.

Quint Frequency Imaging - allowing the selection of optimal clinical operating frequencies over an extremely wide range of frequencies for improved imaging of the "technically" difficult patient.

PixelFocus - providing precise spatial resolution for improved visualization of clinical details.

Multi-beam processing - offering exceptionally high frame rates for optimal performance in studies requiring dynamic imaging of patient morphology.

Wide dynamic range ColorFlow, PowerFlow and Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) - providing excellent analysis of blood flow morphology and heart function.

Dual Dynamic Display - providing a real-time simultaneous split screen display of 2D and B/Flow mode, providing precision tissue and blood flow morphology without compromise.

Real Time FAM (Free Angular M-mode) - saves time for all standard echocardiography M-mode measurements.
Three M-Mode lines can be set at any position and angle simultaneously, thus eliminating the complications involved with usual ultrasound systems in getting accurate measurements when the conventional scanning view cannot be acquired. Additionally, wall motion at different positions can be compared simultaneously, making it possible to accurately measure an eventual delay.

Employs Wide-Band Super High Density (W-SHD) probes.
